Juan Ignacio Contreras, CPD
Juan I. Contreras, CPD is a Senior Plumbing designer at MBI in San Diego. He has over 30 years of experience in the Plumbing industry, as he specializes in all aspect of Plumbing design, from concept to construction. Juan has been involved with ASPE at many levels, including former president of Southern Nevada Chapter, VP Tech of Orange County Chapter, and is currently and proudly serving as the VP Legislative for the San Diego Chapter. Juan is a strong believer in the power of positive thinking and team work. Juan also enjoys oil painting, good music and dancing, and can been found on a long winding road on his Harley every now and then.

Liza Cusimano, CPD
Liza has more than a 10 years experience working in various engineering fields. She has always found fulfillment in technical design. This includes factory work and product design as well as designing building plumbing systems. She has spent the past 7 years as working as a plumbing designer for firms in Wisconsin and California.
Her Market Sector design experience includes Primary and Secondary Education, Post-Secondary, Stadiums, Biotech Laboratories, Health Care Facilities, new and renovation; Hospitality, low, mid, and high rise; Historic Building renovation, Industrial Facilities renovation, Multi-family housing, and Restaurants.
Liza works as a Senior Plumbing Designer for Turpin & Rattan Engineering where she leads the plumbing discipline on projects and helps to develop Revit standards for the department.
She has a B.S. in Architectural Engineering, emphasis in Plumbing, Fire Protection, and HVAC Design, from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and has obtained the ASPE CPD certification.

Martin Trim, P.E., GPD, LEED AP
Barrett Engineered Pumps
Martin is a third-generation plumber who started working in industry at a very young age. As a professional mechanical engineer. he has Journeyman level plumbing and gasfitter certifications. He has served various engineering firms in design and project management roles and is currently the principal engineer at Barrett Engineered Pumps. Martin is responsible for technical support to both the civil and mechanical engineering communities. Martin has been an expert witness for plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection cases, and continues to selectively take on projects in that realm. Martin has been on the NFPA Technical Committee for Residential Fire Sprinklers on behalf of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers since 2012. Additionally, he has assisted in the code making process for the 2013, 2016, 2019, and 2022 versions of the NFPA 13R and 13D standards.
Martin joined the local ASPE Board of Directors in 2009 as VP Legislative and went on to serve as President for five years. For the San Diego chapter, he is currently the Affiliate Liaison, the Golf Tournament Chair, serves on the Board of Governors, and teaches the CPD class. Martin is on the Legislative Committee for ASPE National where he serves as the liaison with the NFPA Residential Sprinkler Technical Committee.

Chrissy Hamm

Chrissy has been involved in the plumbing industry for over 20 years. Chrissy began her career as plumbing manufactures representative in 1999 and has represented many of the strongest brands in the industry from the highly technical to the most basic. She has been working at Specification Sales for over 11 years and based on the product mix she has represented, she has become expert in the industry. She has been responsible for calling on multiple customer channels including; end-users, inspectors, engineers, architects, contractors and distributors. Chrissy supports ASPE as well as maintains involvement with several other plumbing organizations including PHCC, IAPMO, ICC & NAWIC. She is married and a mother to her daughter Madison. In her spare time, she enjoys running and hiking.
